An idyllic venue in beautiful settings
The tithe barn is available for hire; at most this barn will accommodate up to 120 guests stood and 90 guests seated
The tithe barn has substantial oak tables in each bay with oak benches for seating, there is a medieval cartwheel wrought iron light which is suspended from the roof in each bay, mains power, but no water, heating or toilets but these can be hired in at your discretion.
You hire it ~ You decorate it ~ You enjoy your Day
Tithe barn is Grade II listed
There are 18” tall stone plinths separating the bays, we have made wooden steps and wrought iron hand rails to enable guests to get from one bay to another as the building is Grade II listed we cannot alter the buildings fabrication. (Please refer to PDF floor plan – Tithe Barn Floor Plan-Layout1)
Outside the original cobbles surrounding the tithe barn, these may be a little difficult for the elderly or less able to walk on but so long as guests are aware of the organics of the building then they can dress/shoe accordingly, most guests we find are enthusiastic as they appreciate and have a genuine interest in the age and original purpose of the building, if its surrounds were altered would not have the same enchanted and period feel.
Due to the close proximity of the tithe barn to the house we have to give a 11.30 pm cut off for all guests’ music and entertainment etc. and expect all guests caterers etc to respect this and be left by 12. 00 midnight.
